Training We Offer

You do NOT need to be a member of the PMA to take part in this training.

We normally provide a variety of workshops and training sessions countrywide. Currently all training is taking place via Zoom.

At Production Manager level we offer topics ranging from legal issues such as compliance and music licensing, to Health & Safety and tax issues. We also cover technical topics relating to production and the current pandemic situation.

For more junior people, we offer a variety of entry level and limited experience sessions, which are open to all - bursaries are sometimes available via Screenskills.


Training events are FREE to members with fees charged for non-members. Prices vary from session to session. Places are limited according to each type of event.

Procam has announced the Media Technology Day, an all-day exclusive industry event focussing on innovation in production and camera technology.

The Media Technology Day, which is being produced in partnership with Broadcast, will take place on 1 November in London at the Ham Yard Hotel in Soho and will comprise of seminars and panel discussions, networking opportunities and hands-on kit demonstrations.

Seminar content will include case studies on high profile TV productions, feature films and commercials, and interviews with leading cinematographers and producers. Special commissioner panel sessions featuring decision makers from major broadcasters will also take place. 

 Arri, Canon, Panasonic, Red and Sony will all be showcasing their latest camera equipment at the event.

 Procam group chief executive John Brennan said: “The Media Technology Day will give programme makers, crew and producers the opportunity to share ideas, make new contacts and learn about the latest equipment and techniques. With leading camera manufacturers and support services, and presentations in a 4K cinema, plus the opportunity to hear from commissioners, it is an exclusive event not to be missed."
