Christine Saul (nee Drew)

About me: I am currently working as Deputy Head of Production at DSP. Before this I worked in the Commissioning Dept at the Broadcaster Sky, negotiating budgets and managing many Factual and Fact-ent Sky1 shows with the Indies making them. Prior to this I was Production Executive at two Indies (Red House and Firecracker). I have been working in Production Management for 12 years mainly in factual, features and documentaries for all the main UK broadcasters & US Discovery. I have a lot of experience in PM’ing and Line Producing overseas shoots, having organised filming in many foreign countries.
Whilst working as a PM or LP on a wide range of complex productions I have managed many budgets of millions, as well as some very small/tight ones. I have managed teams from 2 to over 100 people. I have been to the courts to get child filming licenses and am well versed in Health and Safety measures needed for various types of filming. I have had to deal with many legal, H&S and insurance problems/claims as well as tricky contributors and talent. I have a good knowledge of post production and technical equipment including UHD/4K and 3D. I am well versed in the delivery systems & requirements of all of the main broadcasters as well as for international sales.
I love excel, I have a spreadsheet for everything, I love a happy team. I always make sure that I know everything that is going on and ensure everyone is enjoying their job.
